Little Bits Honey Gliders of Texas Rescue is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization located in Bastrop, TX.
We are a team of devoted volunteers providing the rescue of Sugar Gliders. We provide them with shelter, neutering, rehabilitation, and community outreach awareness.Â
When gliders are placed in our care then they will receive a full health check by our preferred veterinarian. After being completed by the veterinarian then rehabilitation will begin if any is needed. The Sugar Gliders will be further assessed for adoptability by one of our qualified volunteers or staff. In some cases they will have live out their lives in the sanctuary due to health reasons, personality, or other personal reasons.Â
Females can hold embryos for up to 11 months so when we receive females that may have been exposed to intact males, they will be held for up to a year. This will help to prevent adoption of a female with possible babies.
We encourage future families of Sugar Gliders to research before owning or breeding them. We do encourage neutering if you are not planning to breed them.
OUR INITIATIVES
We, Little Bits Honey Gliders of Texas, love what we do. We want to reach throughout the state of Texas, and eventually outreach the entire United States. With the help of our community and great supporters, we can do this one Sugar Glider at a time.
